此件檜木茶几，是玩味旅舍的前身 - 和泰大飯店 (Ho-Tai Hotel) 客房舊門框所回收改造而成。台灣檜木是全世界最好的檜木，目前政府已明令禁止砍伐。

陳了三十年的檜木香味，紀錄了這間旅館蘊藏的歷史風華想像。舊物化身新物的存在，延續了這間旅館空間的設計脈絡，讓旅人細細品味。
