板凳椅可依場合、活動與使用者習性變換造型與功能。它是一張單人椅，也可以成為四至六人座的板凳，或是桌几；解決需要準備多張座椅的收納問題，亦可以多張組合、堆疊成層架，用途廣泛。適合任何需要使用座椅的場所，尤其適合人數時常變動的空間。

 

板凳椅的設計，每個細節環環相扣：椅背的高度與角度必須符合舒適感與支撐強度，亦必須顧及椅背成為板凳腳時的力學結構。板材與其厚度的選擇，必須顧及木材可能的翹曲變形、懸空處強度，以及摺疊後椅面高度的改變。椅面寬度為板凳寬度的二倍，需考慮整體比例美感與實用性；板凳長度與椅面深度亦成倍數關係，藉由椅背接合處的位置達成合理的座面深度，此位置又關係到板凳腳的力學結構。板凳長度必須達到實用性質，亦不能使單人椅體積過大。兩張板凳之活動組合需要細微與準確的施工，以確保一組兩件的成品，各磁鐵位置可以相互吻合，磁鐵吸力不可過強或過弱：當成為單人椅時，搬運時不會分離；需展開成為兩張板凳時，又不會難以分開。為了維持木材原有活性，不作化學塗佈，須克服原木因溫濕度變形的可能。以上種種因素，經過數十次的試驗、設計修改與樣品製作方能解決。

 

本產品為天然材質，以實木與傳統工法製成，無貼皮，無染色，無化學漆面，無金屬結構件，天然護木油塗裝，木紋及色彩為自然形成，每件作品皆獨一無二，正常環境與方式使用下保用30年以上。本產品僅提供桌、椅、板凳與層架之功能，其餘不屬於上述功能之操作與使用方式，非本產品之設計規範，請正確使用以維持產品壽命。本產品無塗布化學漆面，故不適用戶外日曬雨淋之場所。

 

The two foldable benches are also one or two single backrest chairs, or a small table for ground sitting and suit narrow dwelling house. No need to prepare several chairs and space waiting for guests coming; it is a usable folding and compressibility. The two parts of the chair are combined by magnets that seems an easy way of manufacture, in actual the achievement of precise combination is an extremely difficulty. The benches is a symbol of traditional Asia rural village community which is flocked gathering neighborhood. It is the simplicity of forming, structure and minimal material wasted. It is compatible for interior and exterior and is convenient and cordial for sitting with friends, not only in functionality but also a sense of convertibility between today and yesterday, urban and rural area, alone and together.

 

The construction is made by traditional wood furnishing way: Hand Made, No Nails and no Chemicals (HMNNC). The raw material comes from sustainable forest field and is under a contract that limits the quantity of production. The proper operation and simply oil maintenance will make the product’s sustainability and usability. Wood is a natural air conditioner which can adjust moisture and temperature; There is no chemical coating that sealed the log up, thus maintain the nature and vitality of wood, also no pernicious gases emission.
