玩味旅舍將房間轉換成可住宿的設計博物館，透過設計策展，不定期更新房間的企劃與設計家具及家飾，為房客提供不同的觀看及體驗台灣設計的方式。這次企劃，我們將焦距拉近到桌上的物件，從記憶中重拾你我使用的日常生活基本物件-文具。文具反映出時代下的背景與造物思維，不僅是傳遞情感與思維的工具，文具的選用亦映照一個人的生活品味與習慣。
回到文具使用經驗與記憶中的當下，回顧台灣文具製造與設計的軌跡，將文具店、選物店主人與出版媒體之觀點作為接點相互對話，以「台北文具散策」將文具店與選物店推薦給旅客，並於現場提供書寫體驗。玩味旅舍不只是入住一晚的地方，而是富含文化意義的設計物件所構成的空間體驗場域、更是旅客和旅舍共同論述的空間，由此讓大家重新尋找與詮釋台灣當代設計文化的可能樣貌。
Play Design Hotel is a place for lodgers spending at least one night, and also intimately experience the furnishing items in it; for travelers who look for indigenous experience, indigenous design furnishings will provide local cultural engagement. This time, we curate an exhibition of stationery which we use from childhood to adult. Stationery not only reflects the background or era and creational thinking, also is a medium of transmission. More, selection of stationery reflects a person's life taste.
In this exhibition, we tend to review stationery manufacturing and design in Taiwan through not only objects, also from interviews toward store manager of select shop, gallery or magazine. More, we select local stationery shop, design select shop and gallery into a stationery tourism map, and hope travelers can enjoy design-themed travel experience from objects. We tend to enable design works to be experienced in the form of “living” and to demonstrate their values through hotel customers’ personal experience. By the same token, we seek to make hotel a portal and best interface for travelers to learn about and engage in a country’s indigenous culture.

With the passage of time, the stationery we use from pencil to pen, focus from the novelty to the design and function. Start from the experience and memory of using stationery to review stationery manufacturing and design in Taiwan, stationery not only reflects the background or era and creational thinking, also is a medium of transmission.
