柴屋結合「皮革」與「木作」工藝，大膽地運用材質特性，將皮革手工縫入木材之中，重新定義家具樣貌。回歸原始，透過皮革襯托木材的堅硬，藉由木材突顯皮革的韌性，兩者之間總是可以找到最好的平衡點。

「家凳」扎實的榫接技法構成，讓每個結合皆是緊密、牢固，柴屋移植手工包縫製技法到木材上，將皮革縫至木材，讓兩個材質有了新的可能。一針一線，縫製的不僅是一張凳子、一件作品，同時是人與人之間的情感。
